September 10-11 2007
Run by Grid-Ireland in association with CosmoGrid, EGEE, and int.eu.grid
Overview
This course is aimed at existing Grid users who want to run MPI jobs more effectively. Topics to be covered will include basic MPI job submission on the EGEE grid and an introduction to advanced tools offered by the int.eu.grid project. The course will include hands-on exercises providing attendees with an opportunity to develop and run MPI applications on the Grid.
Attendees will learn about MPI support on the EGEE grid: how to develop MPI jobs, and find appropriate sites to run them on. They will also learn about advanced MPI usage on the int.eu.grid infrastructure, including cross-site MPI, enhanced workload management features for MPI, MPI tools, and visualisation.
